Forecast - AS ON TODAY OF INDIAN METEOROLIGICAL DEPT.

IMD’s meteorological analysis and interpretation of Numerical weather prediction models indicate strengthening & deepening of cross equatorial wind flow over south Arabian Sea during next 2-3 days. Under this scenario, fairly widespread rainfall is likely over Lakshadweep, Kerala and Coastal Karnataka. Thus conditions are favourable for onset of monsoon over Kerala during next 2-3 days.

.. and you claim that you saw the monsoon showers ! It changed the Climate ! ( shld it not be weather ? )

... u c, whose geo graphy is poor ?

.. btw, i'll remember your " monsoon rain " tomorrow when Pathan Brothers shower sixes on the stands !

Post Re: Monsoon is here!
hey hey, please this is no G.K. quiz, just common sense please.

You start a full fledged topic in the name of MONSOON is HERE when monsoon has not even been on India's dootsteps and you mis name "rain" as monsoon, whereas, MONSOON IS ENTIRELY DIFFERENT THING.

And, funny, still you insist that because it rained, its monsoon.

Hota hei yaar, galati ho jati hei. par samajdar log use maaan bhi lete hei.

Achche bachhe zid nahi karte.

And please, please, your terminology of " here " and " this state " is also most confusing. like showing road directions to someone, using hand gestures, when the caller is at the other hand of mobile connection. could you specify the names please ?

u wer supposed to guess which state it is..khair, it is the doorsteps u mentioned of india as far as southwest monsoon is concerned..Kerala :D

and what i reported was the on ground reality..it started raining on 29th itself even as this reports say 31st

Quote:
South west monsoon sets in over Kerala

Thiruvananthapuram, May 31 (PTI) The keenly awaited south west monsoon has set in over Kerala bringing widespread rains in most parts of the state, Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) said here.
The monsoon had reached almost upto Kozhikode in the north and conditions were favourable for its further advancement across the remaining parts of the state in the next two to three days, IMD Director M D Ramachandran told PTI today.

Heavy to very heavy rain were recorded in places like Kollam (19 cm), North Paravur (15 cm RPT 15 CM)), Kayamkulam (9), Kochi airport, Mavelikkara (8) each, Varkala and Harippad (7) each in the 24 hours till 0800 hours today. Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur in most places in Lakshadweep, IMD forecast said.

Isolated heavy rainfall was likely to occur in Kerala and Lakshadweep in the next two days.

Squally weather with wind speed reaching 45 to 55 KMPH is likely along off Kerala coast and Lakshadweep in the next 48 hours. PTI

aarey yaar, who denies that it rained on 29th or even 27th ! id did baba. i only object to your claim that this rain was monsoon rain. It was not. Which your latest post also confirms. Let's diversify :

An American tourist, in a Chinese village, saw two men arguing strongly, and a mob gathered around, silently listening. " Why don't any one of you intervene and try to settle the matter between them ? " The tourist asked his interpreter. The interpreter said " because we do not know who is right and who is wrong".

" But being a mute spectator, how will you know that " ?

" Oh ! That's easy. The one who stops arguing to the point and starts abusing first, is guilty. Because he who has lost an argument and does not have the guts to admit it, will start abusing and even beating. Then, we will intervene"
