Re: Rate the last movie you saw
Sadma---good movie with excellent performance from Sri and Kamal...but looks a bit outdated and slow I wasn't able to enjoy/like it as much as I expected...the ending was just perfect...3.25/5
Woh Lamhe---beautiful movie...it could have been even better...Shiney ahuja is very good but like Akki and Salman he doesn't know to cry...but the film belongs to Kangna....she looks like an angel and gives an outstanding performance...whether she was nominated for this performance??...3.5/5

Re: Rate the last movie you saw
Rock On---wonderful movie...a movie to watch out for everyone...specially friends...the performances are top class with everyone putting their best effort...the lady who played arjun's wife role is very good as well...and the one who is in role of Farhan akhtar's wife is just so sweet and perfect....but the movie belongs to Farhan...what a talented person this guy is...a producer, a director, actor and singer...even though the movie is directed by Abhishek Kapoor we can see the prints of Farhan Akhtar touch all over...the guy is a genius...lovely movie which makes you jump with joy...my 2nd favourite movie of the year behind Aamir...4/5

Re: Rate the last movie you saw
rock on..
it truly rocked!! ppl compare it to DCH, bt imo its much better than dch..it truly gives u a look into urself when u kind of drift away from the things that wer close mayb in college days, and when years later u come across som photos or a bundle of cards and u dont want to look at it at all..its a diifrnt kind of pain..can idntify with adi when he shut down the music when it plays in the car..
i ddnt find the movie slow at all..and everybody did perfect,,even though they going the same V channel concert again was a lil cheesy, they cud hav made an album themselves, bt the big audience and performing live together played out perfect in the end..i was thinking oh no, plz dont make rob go sick on the stage and som melodrama, bt sure it wasnt to b..
and farhan has this a kind of dont care indifference which did beautifully for him as a rock star..and arjun rampal brought alive the big sensitive guy, purab the comic touch and rob the balanced good fellow..they truly had that body language and combined together on stage, the two concerts wer the high points of the movie..what more to say, it was a lovely movie..one u can watch again and again!! 4.5/5

Re: Rate the last movie you saw
Mumbai Meri Jaan---Bollywood have really churned out some excellent flicks in the last couple of months since the release of Aamir....Mumbai Meri Jaan is another addition to the list of excellent flicks like Aamir, A Wednesday and Rock On which came out within last 2 months or so...the movie is based on serial train blasts in Mumbai....there are 6 different stories and how each are affected by this blast...but the most interesting and gripping stories are of Paresh Rawal/Vijay Maurya and Kay Kay Menon's....Kay kay menon does best when it comes to play intense roles....watch out how he shockingly catches you unaware with "ye zidane bhai kabse hua tera....aaj tak mere ko to kabhi bhai nahi bulaya".... Other performances from Madhvan, Irfan to Soha Ali and specially Vijay Maurya have been good...
But the movie belongs to Paresh Rawal.....Rawal's class act stands out among the best performances of the year along with Rajeev Khandelwal for Aamir and Naseer for A Wednesday....on a second thought it even surpasses these other two performances....a cop who doesn't fight against the system but tries to live with it....at first Rawal's character will look like just an ordinary selfish one...but as the movie progresses you realize how strong his character is...and how flawlessly and beautifully Rawal delivers the dialogues with wit and humour whether its the message presented by him of "an eye for an eye makes the whole world blind" in a different manner....or how he makes you realize that he have hardly accomplished anything in his life and how his 35 years of service have gone by....
This is by far his career best performance....its shocking and stunning how he delivers each and every dialogue with calm, gracefulness and smile on his face...you realize how the career of this extremely gifted actor have been wasted with non stop comic roles....his retirement speech gives a lump in your throat...its not only an extraordinary and powerhouse of performance but you can call it as a text book in acting.
4/5
