Basic working of Wordpress

okay..this is a basic idea of how to do things on the blog..
first, if u want to register..click the register tab on the right of the screen..under the heading META
enter ur username and a valid mail id..wordpress will send the password to you..
to log in, use the LOG IN’ under the META heading again it will take you to a screen called dash board
on the dashboard you can use either the option on the right saying quick press to enter a new topic
or use the tab ‘New Post’ on the top black bar it will give you a screen to enter the new post with all options available
enter heading, the post body and tags also (the main words the post is about) if u want..
hit publish on to the right edge of the screen
to make the wordpress show only a part of the topic on main page with a ‘read more’ option,
on the options above the post body space when you are entering a new post, there is a tab which says ‘Insert More Tag’.
its to the left of spell check tab, the one with ‘ABC and a tick mark’
now select the point of the post where you want to enter the tag, and cick the ‘insert more tag’ tab..wordpress will show only whats above that on the main page..
if you are in the bollygyaan page, to go to the dash board hit the ‘Site admin’ under the Meta heading again..
‘Atithi..’ does well over weekend

Of the five films released last Friday, the comedy Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge? garnered the best opening, doing 40% to 50% business over the weekend. the film opened fairly well Friday, and showed an increase over Saturday and Sunday. The net business is reported to be around 13crs for the weekend. Audience seems to be liking the light comedy the film offers.
Road’ starring Abhay Deol ddnt live up to expectations while ‘Thanks Maa’ cudnt convert the critcal accclaim into tickets sold.

If you saw the filmfare awards ceremony that was telecast last Sunday, there was an uneasy moment when the duo of hosts, SRK and Saif chided Neil Nitin Mukesh about having all first names and asked where is the surname. in response neil stood up and said ‘ I find this insulting..didnt u see my father sitting here. Its Rahul Mahajan’s Swayamvar today!

The stage is set for Rahul Mahajan’s wedding. Out of the three finalists – Nikunj Malik, Dimpy Ganguly and Harpreet Chhabra – he will chose one as his life partner on the reality show Rahul Dulhaniya Le Jayega on NDTV Imagine Saturday.After edging past 14 prospective brides Nikunj, Dimpy and Harpreet have become the top three contenders vying to become Rahul’s wife. They have done their bit to impress Rahul – they have cooked him a meal, wooed him with love letters and taken care of kids.
Now the entire nation is eagerly waiting for Rahul’s decision that he will take Saturday and it will be telecast live on the channel from 9 pm onwards.
All the three girls are a little tense but excited.
“For some strange reason, I am not nervous but very excited. I am just finalizing my outfit for my Big Day. I am hoping I am lucky enough to be Rahul’s bride,” said Nikunj.
Dimpy is experiencing mixed feelings.
“I am very excited yet nervous at the same time. I am really looking forward to 6th March,” she said.
Harpreet too is nervous and says “apart from marrying Rahul, great responsibilities too will come along. I hope Rahul’s decision is in my favour.”
The wedding will take place in a luxurious suburban hotel in Mumbai where the who’s who of society will grace the occasion to shower their blessings on the couple.
Ace designers Vikram Phadnis, Neeta Lulla and Ashley Rebello will dress up Rahul’s brides-to-be.
Rahul plans to go to Maldives and Ireland for his honeymoon, if a court which is holding his passport allows him to do so. He is facing charges of using prohibited drugs.

one good point was made..
that aamir has chosen versatile scripts but srk has been played more diverse characters…for example srk is typecasted as a romantic hero..just take a look at this..in this romance genre srk has played a range of roles from a collegian to a drunkard to an old man,ghost,husband,geek,obsessive lover,army man,teacher,autistic,
aamir for sure has been seen in extremely hatke scripts…but in most of them his role wasnt alarmingly challenging and his part wasnt as hatke as the script..
i yet havent come to a conclusion regarding this whole debate..but its definitely worth giving a thought..
Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge: Review
Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge, based on a short story by the noted satirist Sharad Joshi, is exactly that: a short story stretched into a movie.
This tale of the house guest from hell might have worked well as an episode of Doordarshan’s Yeh Jo Hai Zindagi or even All India Radio’s Hawa Mahal. But as a two-hour movie, it’s overtly stretched and mostly mediocre.
Ajay Devgn and Konkona Sen Sharma play a Mumbai couple who are confronted one day with Chacha Lambodar from Gorakhpur, played by Paresh Rawal.
This is the sort of guest who gargles loudly at 5:45 AM and wants two vegetables, one dal, one raita, a few paranthas and some meetha at every meal.
But the bigger problem is that he doesn’t show any signs of leaving. The two try every trick in the book to get him to go – including hiring an underworld goon – but everything backfires.
Eventually living with Chacha ji becomes a moral science lesson on the importance of your elders. Read the rest of this entry »
Salman breathless during shoot, hospitalized

The macho man of B-Town, actor Salman Khan had a harrowing experience at a shoot recently, which landed him in the hospital.
Salman Khan was hospitalized due to smoke congestion while shooting for brother Arbaaz Khan’s debut home production ‘Dabbang’ in Satara district, Maharashtra.
Reportedly, during the shooting of a sequence that required the handsome Khan to run through fire but the actor complained of feeling breathless and was rushed to the hospital immediately.
A source informs, “Salman wanted the scene to be flawless and ended up getting breathless since he was shooting close to so much fire. He had to be rushed to the hospital after the scene was successfully canned.”
Doctors advise Salman to quit smoking
The buzz is that Salman Khan was not well even prior to the incident and had been advised by doctors to take some rest but he paid no heed to their advice and commenced shooting for his brother’s movie. Read the rest of this entry »

Bidadi, Mar 4: The storm raised by the sex scandal of Swami Nithyananda refuses to die down as more twists emerge every hour and state governments come out with their reactions to the controversy.
India, the most religious and religiously-sensitive nation, was shocked on Mar 2 evening to see an explicit video of a spiritual guru getting cozy with a Tamil actress, identified as Ranjitha. This led to the guruji’s followers venting out their anger of being deceived with violence. Followers went on a rampage and ransacked the ashrams in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka’s Bidadi. This was inevitable. The Swamiji had first played all the tricks in the book to earn the trust of the people and popularity, and then let them down.
He was not only worshiped among the commoners but claimed the credit of having many high profile followers including celebrities, artists, seers and politicians.
